Thrift Report

Greetings, friends!  I hope you're all staying warm and toasty as the Polar Vortex terrorizes the country once again. I'm still not doing much vintage hunting, as that would require me to voluntarily remove myself from the warm, cozy sofa and venture outside, but I do have a few things to share.

This 60's era resin tray was made in Italy. Such pretty colors...so glam...and virtually indestructable.

More fun gold trimmed barware!

It's been a while since I've come across a nice, chunky brass animal in the wild, so I was psyched to pick up this guy at Goodwill recently. I already have the matching brass baby giraffe that goes with it...somewhere.   #toomuchinventory

There is nothing I love more than a pretty vintage book, except maybe a stack of them! These would absolutely pop in a nursery or kid's room, wouldn't they? Maybe with a nice brass giraffe bookend? ;)

And that does it for today!  I'm off to put on an extra pair of socks and go scrape ice off of something. You know--the usual.

I'm linking up here!

  2. Is that what is going on? A polar Vortex because dang its cold! Since I'm on a scooter every time I go somewhere I end up sniffling like a coke head. Its super sexy. I love your giraffe! I never find brass, like never. Its weird. You would think at least one piece. But nope.

    1. Yes! Our newscasters love to talk about it. I swear that "Polar Vortex" is going to be the word of the year. ;) I'm pretty lucky with the brass finds, but brass animals are hard to come by these days. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Oh, I love that tray and swear I had one like that in a different color. Wonder where it went? :) The stacked books are great too. This winter is horrible. That weather is moving our way, supposed to get more bitter cold tomorrow, then more snow. Ugh!

  4. Oh fabulous! Yummy barware and books. I don't need to buy any more books, but I can never resist. Great and lucky finds. :)

  5. I am over winter. I am over the news stations constant chatter about the Polar Vortex. And why do they think we care about how many plow trucks are on the roads and how much money the salt is costing the city/county? I am over snow days, I am over not being able to feel my toes, I am over it all. Spring please!!

And as always, your finds are amazeballs. ;)

  9. Heather, keep yourself warm. I can't believe how cold it is in the rest of the country, while we are facing a drought! Lovely finds as usual, love the brass giraffe the most. Books are a personal favorite but I do not have the patience to look through the stacks at GW. I am glad others do.

  14. I found those glasses the other day too, though they were no where as beautiful as yours.
I hear you on the "it's cold as hell outside, not going anywhere!' feeling. We aren't currently in the same deep freeze as you guys, but we've been there recently. Can you believe that it's nicer in Alaska than where we are right now?! Crazy...
